Our Core

Jesus is the centre.

Statement on Racism

Bethel wholeheartedly condemns the sin of racism, both implicit and explicit, and the underlying denial by racism that all people are created equally in God’s image and have equal dignity and value. We join in the collective grief and pain caused by racism. We recognize that until racism is eradicated its horrible implications will impact the lives of many. Jesus calls us to be peacemakers and workers of reconciliation and to break down the walls that divide people, including racism. As a church, we commit to learning and growing as we continue our pursuit of justice and peace.
