Your prayer request will be prayed for by our Bethel family and it will be one of our prayer points at our Wednesday night prayer meeting. We want to partner with you and believe with you for the miracle you need.
In my 6 years of teaching Brazilian Portuguese to Canadian diplomats at the Global Affairs, I have noticed a significant increase in levels of stress, anxiety, and depression, especially as their posting to Brazil approaches or when they need to achieve high scores on language proficiency tests, or when problems arise related to family stress in the host countries. I have brought my observations to the school's attention, and whenever students share some of their struggles with me, I ask for prayers in the Brazilian small group.
Today, I would like to ask for prayers for a diplomat student who is in Brasília. Her 15-year-old teenage son committed suicide this week.
I ask that you pray for God to break the curse of depression in homes and families in the Name of Jesus! And may God comfort the heart of my student in Brasília.Elen Joseph
